MEET BILLIE BILLIE

Meet Billie Billie.
Also known as BIllie Edwards, Billie is BABE
She isn't just the naturally beautiful lady, She in the past few years has been working with some incredible people.
But Billie's beauty doesn't stem from just her appearance but her 'I don't care for what you think of me' attitude with an elegance about her presence and holds interests that makes you want to keep on questioning her.
I chatted with her about what she's been up to, how she's juggling her busy life and the ocean, how it's been working with Volcom and what she's planning next and boy is it exciting!
Hannah: Miss Billie, How is life? You look like your thoroughly enjoying yourself these days, Where are you now?
Billie: Hannah! Life is wonderful. I’m living in Brisbane for uni at the moment. I sneak down to the Gold Coast whenever I get the chance to visit my family, friends and the ocean though.
Hannah: That's rad! How has it been juggling uni life (studying fashion and business), modelling life and beach life, as I know the ocean is a must for your survival growing up in Cabarita Beach, how have you been fitting it all in?
Billie: Haha yep, I guess I’ve been pretty busy! Uni and work do take up most of my time – but I enjoy them so much that I can’t complain. Yep! The ocean is definitely my esape when I’m stressed. I feel so lucky to call Cabarita home, it’s the most beautiful town to come home to and just chill out.
Hannah: Glad to see your getting it all done. I know that beautiful Cabarita makes it worth the while to come home to. Over the history of your modelling, who are some of the past people you have worked with and who has been your most memorable?
Billie: Oh I’ve been blessed to meet and work with some very lovely people. I’ve made some really great friends with some very creative and like minded people – which has come in handy with my studies at time too.
Too be honest my favourite modeling jobs have been for my friend Simone’s swimwear label EPV modeling with Tahnee. The three of us can’t take anything seriously when we are shooting. We usually end up eating too many lollies, laughing at each other’s boy stories and looking like dorks in front of the camera. I like modeling when I don’t have to take myself too seriously and get to work with positive, chilled out people.
Hannah: That's great, I've love the Eau Paix Vie girls and their work. Another project I've seen you involved with looking like your were enjoying yourself was Volcom. Towards the end of last year you won the Volcommunity award, became an ambassador for Volcom and recently shot their campaign with Steph Cherry (who I dressed at Fashion Week), tell us a bit about it all and how it has been working with them..
Billie: I feel very very blessed! Volcom have looked after me so much these last few months, I’m so grateful to work for such awesome people. Basically I model, blog and attend some events with them – so it’s pretty amazing that I get to call that work! I get to visit the beautiful Bondi Beach a bit too, which is always fun.
That’s great you met Steph! How rad is she? Such a beautiful and down to earth girl.
Hannah: She's very different to a lot of other models she's been surrounded by, she's a lovely girl. I keep up to date with your blog too, which is an incredible assortment of photographs, both yours and sourced, do you plan to further your blogging?
Billie: Oh thanks girl! At the moment it’s more of a hobby then anything, I use it to stay inspired and creative while I study fashion. For now I like having fun with it and not taking it too seriously.
I also have a blog for Volcom on volcomunity.com where my posts are a lot more personal. I’d love to keep working on that more seriously – a travel blog would be radical.
Hannah: I'd love to see more! So what can we expect next from Miss Billie?
Billie: I’m back to studying hard again soon. But if all goes to plan I’m actually moving to India at the end of the year! I’ll be doing exchange with my university and studying fashion in New Dehli for six months.
So that’s what I’m very nervous and excited about.

Hannah: Thank you so much for joining us here at HWC. We wish you all the best with your future endeavours and hope you keep killing it in everything your doing.

Pro Vita films 'Three Weeks' in Sydney

These guys are Pro Vita.
They are a bunch of Sunny Coast music making babes.
They've played with some great bands over the last year and are killing it in the east coast scene with their surf indie pop. Their light hearted music is layered with  heavy base riffs, sweet harmonies and catchy hooks that are tunes you just can't get out of your head for days.
Pro Vita are influenced by a bunch of cats both they've looked up to and been surrounded by; DUNES RATS, Cloud Nothings, Bleeding Knees Club, Wavves, Best Coast, Pirates Alive, Waxx Witches and there's few more floating about.
Their new single 'Three Weeks' just came out with it's film clip and it's filmed in the beautiful Sydney.
With their take on the 'hot' spots to see of Sydney they also feature four musically talented babes, the city, the beach, one 'smoking' hot lady, a gig and banging track.
It's one clip to get all over.

Meet Matt from Parachute Youth

Meet Matt.
Matt plays in a band that is living abroad all for what they love and or what you could say is 'their thing'.
Matt K Von (Mathew Gill) is apart of a band with a gentlemen called Jonny Castro (Johnny Courtidis).
They started on whim, through mutual friends and before you know it were making music in the blink of an eye.
Their music has taken them out of aus and they are writing more for us to hear.
I chatted with Matt from Parachute Youth to find out how Europe has been, where Parachute Youth began, the direction of their sound, how they've been with the label 'Sweat it out' and tried to get some info on what to expect next..

Hannah: Hey, How are you Matt? I understand you've been a busy boy, where about are you living at the moment, I herd somewhere in the midst of Europe? How has it been?
Matt: Yeh living in Putney, London! Feeling very privileged for this experience to date, feel like we have been busier here in the past 3.5 months than the last 12 months in Oz to be honest.
Hannah: London, I bet that the new culture has been incredible. Take us back to the start. How did Parachute Youth begin? Where, when and how did it all take off?
Matt: Johnny and I had a similar circle of friends whilst I was living in Adelaide, we finally crossed paths at a mutual friends birthday and a few pints and laughs later we were back at my house making music together. Total Bromance story huh?
Hannah: Haha it’s great though, the meeting of creatives. How have you both developed a direction for Parachute Youth? Do you both have different tastes or has it been smoothing sailing? The single 'Can't get better then this' was huge for you guys, do you want to continue with that sound?
Matt: We developed the sound for PY out of pure chance and luck from the influences we each have, and we have a very special chemistry in our friendship that allows us to get through hard times, enjoy the good times and still keep focused on the project itself. We have a new single coming out in September and we are quite new kids on the block, so I don't think we are going to deviate from the sound we have for ourself, but we are writing ALOT of music for our album.
Hannah: We can’t to hear it. I understand your on a pretty cool label 'Sweat it out' home to Ajax, Yolanda be cool, What so not, Danny T, just to name a few; tell us a little bit about how it has been with them?
Matt: It has been a good experience for us to see how a label supports its artist, we are learning about 'the biz' all the time, but mostly we stay focused on music, as everything else is pointless without the music.
Hannah: Well we all know its is a competitive business, it’s good to see the higher teaching the musicians also. So what's next for the now Europe living duo, what can we expect from you guys?
Matt: We have remixed Foals single "My number" and we are waiting for a release date for that and we also have a our next single coming out via Warner Records here in the UK in a few months, which is very exciting.
Hannah: Well thanks for joining us Matt. From HWC we wish you all the luck with your Euro Trip and hope the music keeps going well.

This is Insight's new main range lookbook.
Don't get it mistaken for their denim one because it's dope too.
This look book takes a step into future realms with incredible special effects that make you focus on the photograph and the clothing.
The campaign is done with great cutting, framing and positioning of the clothing which makes it focusable through drawing you to the activities that are taking place.
The clothes are a mixture of bohemian and psychedelic with a modern twist. A modern take on the 70's, 80's and 90's.
